Dear MSSA Delegates,

This year the Electron Microscope Unit of the University of Limpopo will be host to the 48th Annual Conference of the Microscopy Society of Southern Africa (MSSA). The conference will take place at the Conference Centre of Forever Resorts in Warmbaths (Bela-Bela) from 26- 29 October 2010.

The mission of the Microscopy Society of Southern Africa : ’To promote and develop microscopy and associated techniques at all levels in the Southern African region encourages interaction within all fields and disciplines.

We would therefore like to invite all microscopists nationally to join us at Forever Resorts to present their research, interact with peers and re-unite with familiar friends. It is also the most important annual event to discuss the latest technological developments in light- and electron microscopes as well as ancillary equipment with our trade delegates and representatives at the Technical Forum and the Exhibition area. The exhibits will be accessible throughout the conference and we invite you to make use of this ‘one-stop’ opportunity for demonstrations and brochures whether you are purchasing or sourcing information for future applications.

The year 2010 will be the fulfilment of exciting visions for South Africa as a whole – support the Microscopy Society in their effort to encourage scientific collaboration and participation between disciplines utilizing microscopy within Southern Africa and help to contribute to a bumper edition of the printed Proceedings!

We hope that you will be able to join us at the MSSA 2010 conference,

Kind regards
